Valentine’s Day Outfit

Valentine’s Day is this week, friends! Crazy! I know people have mixed emotions on this holiday, and I understand that, but I also think it’s sweet! I just helped one of the little boys I nanny make heart shaped Valentines for his class, and it was so cute and sweet!

Today I’m showing you guys some outfit inspiration for the day of love. I feel like I could have included ten different outfit ideas in this post, but I decided to go with this casual outfit – partly because it was freeeezing and my other outfit options were dresses, and partly because I love this sweater! I put this sweater in my Christmas gift guide, and it’s from H&M.

This photo shoot was an adventure, to say the least. Hannah, my amazing friend and photographer, wanted me to ask one of my guy friends to do a couples outfit post, but I told her that wasn’t going to happen, haha. Then, we picked the windiest day ever to shoot these photos! We found a stone pillar that I wanted to sit on for the photos, but it was almost as tall as I was, and after the first few failed attempts to jump up onto it, I was freezing and crying from the wind. Not to mention, my hair was a mess! I was determined to get these photos, and was about ready to ask one of the college guys walking by to give me a boost onto the pillar – but Hannah told me she’d be embarrassed if I did that.

So I placed my hands on top of the stone pillar, jumped, and pulled myself up. I like to say it was very athletic of me, but I’m not sure that’s the truth. But, I did make it up there . . . and soon jumped back down when we realized the lighting wasn’t good, and the higher up I was, the worse the wind was, and my make up began to run.

So it was on to location number two.

Anyway, whether you’re single, dating, or married, I hope you have a great Valentine’s Day! Do you have plans for the holiday? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

    Love,

          Gabriella Catherine

Also, kudos to your photographer for braving the weather with you:) We don’t have special plans for Valentine’s Day. We will be celebrating the following week. Thanks for another great blog.
