Valentine’s Day | What I Wore

Hello! How is everyone this week? I just got back from a little vacation with family in Lincoln NH, which was so much fun. Although I was very productive with editing one of my books, I took a few days off from working on my blog, which was much needed.

However, I’m back now with some photos from my wonderful friend and photographer, Hannah, of my Valentine’s Day dress.

This dress is definitely one of my favorites! First of all, it’s red. But it comes in several other colors as well. Also, it ties around the rib cage and arms, making it very flattering. Plus, it comes in regular and petite sizes, and the petite was the perfect length for me. However, if you’re considering buying this dress and you’re taller, or even average height, I’d go with the regular length. I’m only 5’1, and the hem of the dress gets pretty high up on my thighs when I lift my arms.

I wore this dress last Thursday, and it definitely stands out in a crowd of people. The color is so pretty in person; it’s the perfect shade of red for Valentine’s Day. Or any day of the year, because red is good for any occasion.;)

This week, while I’ve been on vacation and had time to think, I’ve been pondering time. Specifically, how fast time goes by. I’ve thought back to last year, thought about where I was as a person, about what I valued so much, that I don’t value anymore. I’ve also been thinking about next year, and where I’ll be then. Will I feel satisfied with the choices I’ve made? Will I still have all my friends and loved ones in my life? Will I have formed new relationships – will they be good ones?

I’m not trying to make you all sentimental, but it’s important to think about. If we aren’t aware of the time we have, if we don’t live in the present moment, we won’t make the most of the time in this life – time with friends and family. We’ll miss moment and opportunities and relationships.

It’s also important to imagine yourself a year from now. Where will you be? Where do you WANT to be? How about two years? Three years? Are you doing everything you can right now to be where you want to be next year?

Don’t miss out on life’s moments and opportunities. If you do, those moments will soon vanish, and you’ll be left wishing you’d made the most of them.

    Love,

         Gabriella

  1. What a beautiful dress and a beautiful young lady, inside and out! It’s so true that we need to make the most of every day and live in the present moment. Having goals helps us to work toward what we want to accomplish in the year or years ahead. We all need to enjoy any opportunity to spend time with family and friends. Thank you for another great blog! Love, Grammie
