Life Is What You Make It

I believe that life really is what you make it. Of course, there are certain things, whether it’s a situation, a relationship, or health complications, that you cannot control. But you can decide how you respond to every situation in life, and your attitude about life in general.

You can choose to do the things that make you happy in life, and you can choose to surround yourself with people that make you happier and challenge you to be better. You can get up and decide to make the most of each day, and live as though each day is your last.

Yes, there are always things you have to do that you don’t feel like doing, and people that aren’t fun to deal with, but you can choose how you respond to these situations and people. You can let them determine how your day, or week, is going to go, or you can decide for yourself how you want it to go. You can choose to reject those negative influences and not let them take away from living your life to the fullest.

I think this is so important, guys. This is basically the entire reason this blog exists! I believe God wants us to make the most of our time on earth – to spend our time doing things that really matter. To spend our time loving and serving others, building relationships, and learning from one another. To approach each day like it’s a new opportunity.

Sometimes I have to stop and ask myself if I am really doing all I can to make the most of my time; if I’m living my best life, despite my circumstances. Too often, we become overwhelmed by the unfortunate things happening to us and around us, and by the insignificant drama surrounding us, and we have a pity party for ourselves. It’s easy to get stuck in a constant pity party mindset, focusing on the bad things going on to us and around us. But the Bible says to be joyful in all circumstances, and to pray instead of worrying.

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Another great post! Having a positive outlook is truly the way we need to live our lives. It can be very difficult to be positive in all things but God gives us what we need to stay focused. Remaining positive is a huge part of winning the battle.

  2. It is so true that God wants us to live our lives for him and to the fullest! Keeping a positive mind can be difficult sometimes, but It’s so important to surround yourself with people who encourage you to be your best self!
