Things I Want To Do This Summer

What? I cut my hair??! Yes, I did! After over two years of having hair down to my waist, I decided it was time for a change and chopped off nearly six inches. And surprisingly, I didn’t even cry! I was very attached to my long hair, so I never thought I’d be brave enough to cut more than a couple inches.

But, cutting my hair was on my list of things I want to do this summer. I wanted to try something new, and also something that would be easier for summer.

Last year, I wrote a post called How to Live Summer to the Fullest, and I will definitely be looking back on that list this summer. But today I wanted to do a post on some specific things I plan to do this summer (besides cutting my hair).

Summer is my favorite season, as I’ve said before, and I like to keep myself busy doing fun, adventurous things, as well as productive things. I’ll be nannying this summer, which I’m looking forward to, because I’ll get to hang out with some pretty amazing kids. But here is my list of things I plan to do in my free time!

1 – Early morning porch writing sessions.

I love mornings in the summer. The rest of the house usually sleeps in a bit, so its very quiet, and my mind is clear to get lots of editing or blog posts done.

2 – Ice cream runs with siblings or friends.

These are my favorite! Especially those spontaneous, late night trips to grab ice cream with my brothers . . . that’s why I love summer, haha.

3 – Try new gyms/work out routines.

You know, to balance out all the ice cream.

4 – Go hiking.

Hiking is one of my favorite forms of exercise, and it’s such a satisfying experience.

5 – Movie nights/dinner out with friends.

Not to be sentimental or anything, but basically, I want to spend as much time as possible with my friends before we’re all going off to college, getting full time jobs, and eventually, getting married.

(Jk, none of us are getting married anytime soon.)

6 – Try making more healthy, gluten free recipes.

7 – Walks to the library with my kiddos.

This is my favorite thing to do with the kids I nanny. And then sometimes we walk to Dunkin for a snack afterwards.

8 – Outdoor volleyball games.

I love throwing together a volleyball game with friends, and it’s great to start getting ready for volleyball season in the fall.

9 – Go tubing, canoeing, or kayaking.

Again, I find these forms of exercise fun, exhilarating, and satisfying.

10 – Try new fashion trends and have fun with my wardrobe.

And share it with you here on the blog!

What are your plans for the summer? Let me know, because I’m always looking for new adventures (;

Thanks for stopping by!

Love,

Gabriella
