Live Passionately

Hey friends! (;

If you’ve been around for a little while, you know that my motto, and my goal, is to “live life to the fullest.” I wrote a post all about what that means to me, and why I believe it is key to a rich, satisfying, life that honors God.

But with the release of my new book, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about what I want the future of this blog, as well as my own future, to look like. I want this website to be a place where I can be transparent. I want it to be a place where you find encouragement, and where we can be friends. I love creating fashion posts for you guys, and creating pretty images (although Hannah really does that part), but I hope you guys know that for me, it’s a lot deeper than all that. I want to inspire you to do great things. I want to share my stories, with hope that someone will be able to relate and know they aren’t alone. I want to share about the things God is doing in my life, because that stuff is powerful and encouraging.

I guess if I had to sum up what my main goal is – I’m talking about my blog, my writing, and my overall way of life – I would say I am striving to encourage and inspire you to live passionately.

What does that mean?

Living passionately means getting up every day and making the most of what you’re given. It means having dreams, goals, and expectations, and believing that you are capable, through God, of accomplishing them. It means loving others so greatly that you feel blessed after being with them. It’s doing everything you can to be happy and healthy, so you’re prepared to go wherever it is that God calls you to. It’s taking care of those that can’t take care of themselves. It means that even on your worst days, weeks, or months, you recognize that there is a silver lining, and that with God, recovery is possible. It’s choosing, every morning, that no one determines how your day is going to go except for you. It’s praying for the things you desire and feel called toward, even if they seem impossible or out of your reach.

It means confidence and freedom, It means joy – joy that cannot be shaken by your circumstances. It’s laughing without fear of the future (Proverbs 31:25), and sharing that confidence and joy with others.

My idea of a life well lived is a life lived passionately. It’s a life lived outside of my comfort zone. It’s recognizing that, although we can’t always control our circumstances, we can control how we react and live moving forward.

John 10:10 – I came to give them a rich and satisfying life.

Do you agree with my idea of living passionately? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

Love,

Gabriella
