Athletic Transitional Pieces

Happy Friday! How is everyone?

Today I want to share my new favorite pieces that I know I will wear all through September and October.
As I mentioned in my last post, my volleyball season has begun and I now spend two hours training in a gym every day. So I’m basically living in athletic clothes and surviving on dry shampoo (my favorite linked here).

Going out to dinner with friends immediately after practice (no, I don’t usually get to shower in between) goes against nearly everything I believe in. But, having cute and comfortable athletic gear can help you feel much more put together. And if you add a regular piece, like this jacket, it helps you look less like you came right from the gym.

 

I’m going to start with these leggings. I couldn’t find the exact ones that I’m wearing online, but I found a pair that’s very similar, which I will link below. After practice/a workout, if I have somewhere to go, I like to keep leggings in my gym bag to change into instead of wearing my athletic shorts out.

Same thing goes for a nice tee. This one is from Gap, and I have been wearing it so much. Tying a white (or black or gray) t-shirt over leggings can pull the athletic look together.

 

 

 

My sneakers are actually my volleyball shoes, and they’re Nike running sneakers.

 

 

Lastly, let’s talk about this jacket! It’s from Old Navy, and although I just got it, I can see myself wearing it a lot this season. Fall can get pretty chilly here, so layering is always a good idea, especially when you’re going out at night.
