Hello, everybody! Summer is here, and one of my favorite things about this time of year is that it’s way more acceptable to were very minimal makeup. When you’re out sweating in the sun or swimming or going to the beach, it’s nice to not wear lots of foundation and concealer. If you’re by the water it’s going to just come off eventually, anyway.
But, if you’re going to try to give up those products for the summer, it’s good to step up your skincare game so you’re confident wearing hardly anything on your face.
You guys know I’m almost passionate about my skincare routine. I’m always switching it up slightly, so today I thought I’d share what I’m currently doing every morning and evening, and share all the products I use in case you want to try any of them out!
Morning –
Step 1 – Burt’s Bees Peach and Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub
This wash exfoliates really well, and it smells good, too!
Step 2 – Mary Kay Clear Proof Toner
Step 3 – Mary Kay Clear Proof Moisturizer
Step 4 – Light face Moisturizer with SPF 25 (or 50)
I have to say, sometimes SPF 25 doesn’t cut it for me, haha. So I have another sunscreen that’s SPF 50 that I use some days. On top of that, my BB cream that I use everyday has SPF 21, and so between all that I feel like the sun protection is pretty good around here.
Nighttime –
Step 1 – Ponds Makeup Wipes
Step 2 – Burt’s Bees Soap Bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream
I’ve talked about this before, but I use the “double cleanse method”. That means I first use makeup wipes or a makeup remover, and then I use another wash like this one. I find that this method helps with keeping my skin cleaner and clearer.
Step 3 – Acure Brightening Night Cream
I love this nighttime moisturizer! I can really tell the difference when I wake up in the morning after wearing this to bed.
There you have it! It’s pretty simple and easy, but establishing a good skincare routine really makes all the difference.
Love,
Gabriella
