What I Love About My Job | The Baby Items I Now Own

Hey, friends! I’m just here hanging out with my girl Riley Grace! This is her first time making an appearance here on the blog, but I’m honestly not sure why because look at how adorable she is!

I get to nanny this little pumpkin over the summer, and it has been so much fun already. We love going on walks, to the library for story time, snuggling, and playing outside in the sprinkler. She is the sweetest!

Now that I basically have a daycare going on at my house (haha), I’ve had to buy/borrow some new baby equipment to keep at the house. I’m not complaining – in fact, I think my summer job is pretty awesome. But the fact that I just ordered a stroller online when I’m obviously nowhere near having kids of my own and my little siblings are way too old for a stroller is kind of hilarious – in my mind at least.

Which brings us to my first item . . . .

Kolcraft Cloud Baby Stroller.

Before I ordered this, I actually looked at a couple double strollers, since I sometimes have more than one child at my house at a time. But I thought that might have been a little bit much, so I settled for a single.

In addition to my new stroller, I’m also borrowing a pack and play from a friend for nap time. It has now become an addition to my bedroom, so Riley has her own little napping corner. It came in handy when my baby cousin came to visit last week and needed a nap.

My mom also gave me some things that she’s saved from when my siblings were babies, like bibs, blankets, toys, and books. It’s super helpful because whatever I need for my kiddos, she always seems to have.

Like I said, I think my job is pretty amazing. True, I have a little bit of clutter in my room between the baby bed, blankets, and toys, but I love it. I love my kiddos and feel blessed to be able to take care of them and get paid for it. I love that I have the opportunity to invest my time and love in the next generation,

I’m passionate about taking care of children; about praying for them, comforting them, laughing with them, and forming relationships with them. I want to be a mom someday, and my nannying job only makes me look forward to/prepares me for that season of life.

Thank you for reading! I hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day!

Love,

Gabriella and Riley

You are a very special, mature young lady. The parents of these children you nanny are so blessed to have someone like you caring for their children. I’m so proud of you!
