Some Of My favorite Verses Right Now

If you follow my Instagram stories, you might have seen the little encouragement chat I gave yesterday. I basically just talked about some things that have been on my mind, and things I journaled about this week.

The truth is, although I love using the internet/social media as a place to share positivity, fun, colorful pictures, and the interesting parts of my life . . . I have bad days, too. I have hard times, stressful seasons, and relationships that are complicated. Even if I try to be as transparent as possible with you all, there will always be things in my life that are too personal to share online.

In telling you this, I simply want to reassure you that everyone, even people you see online, have days where they feel broken. You aren’t alone. Sure, you might be able to push past your heartache to get your day, or your job, done, but ultimately, we all have weeks where we feel a bit weak and helpless.

Today I wanted to share a couple verses that I’ve found really helpful lately. I’ve been trying to start each day with a Bible app plan, and have also been journaling some of my thoughts and prayers.

The other night, I read John 16 and wrote down the fact that, although we face a lot of hard things in this life, Jesus promises that He’ll be the one to fight all our battles. In fact, He has already won every battle you’ll ever face.

John 16:33 – I have told you all this so you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

John 16:22 – So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy.

Proverbs 29:25 – Fear and intimidation is a trap that holds you back. But when you place your confidence in the Lord, you will be seated in the high place.

Galatians 1:10 – Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.

2 Corinthians 1:10 – We have placed our confidence in Him, and He will continue to rescue us.

1 Timothy 1:12 – I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do His work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him.

Have a lovely weekend, friends!

Love,

Gabriella
