18 Things I’ve Learned In 18 Years

I turned 18 on Sunday (the 27th). It still doesn’t feel quite real that I’m technically considered an adult, and I feel like I’ll always be 17 at heart. But I’m always excited to step into a new age or a new year, and to see all that I’ll accomplish, how life will change, and what God has planned for me.

Today, as the title of this post says, I’m going to share 18 lessons I’ve learned so far in my life. I know there are many more that I could write about, but I’m going to pick my favorites and save the others for another blog post (;

18 things I’ve learned in 18 years

1 – If God gives you the calling, He’ll provide the resources.

2 – Just because they’re younger than you, doesn’t mean you won’t learn anything from them.

3 – Taking care of your body is not selfish, it’s actually glorifying to God.

4 – Confrontation is a good thing. Uncomfortable conversations are usually the most important to have.

5 – Great things happen outside your comfort zone.

6 – Always filter people’s negative words through the Bible before you consider them true.

7 – You don’t need to go to college, or pursue a certain career, if you don’t want to.

8 – No matter how difficult it is to love someone, remembering that Jesus died for them, too, will give you a new perspective.

9 – Happiness is a choice, and joy is a gift from God.

10 – Crushes come and go. Friends and family are forever.

11 – Boldly asking God for the things you desire is powerful.

12 – Sometimes, God allows people to treat you badly because He knows it will make you stronger.

13 – Learn to balance “living in the moment” and “planning for the future”.

14 – The only approval you need is from God.

15 – Confidence is silent; insecurities are loud.

16 – People don’t get to upset you unless you let them.

17 – Living your life while focusing on eternity will help you remember what’s important and what’s a waste of time.

18 – Always share your faith when the opportunity is presented.

Love,

Gabriella
