Happy Thanksgiving, Friends

Well, it’s my favorite day of the year again! I absolutely LOVE this day because it brings so many memories to mind, and means so much to me. It takes me back to my childhood. It makes me think of my grandparents, my cousins, and of amazing food! Every since I was little, my family has spent every Thanksgiving in Maine at my grandparent’s house, which is where I”m heading this morning. I also love that this is the official start to the Christmas season (even though I’ve been celebrating since early November;)

Last year I wrote a list of things I’m thankful for. But today, I’m going to keep it short and sweet, and share a few things that are on my heart today.

I’m thankful for this past year of my life. I’m thankful for the friendships, for the answered prayers, for the ups and downs that have made me who I am today. I’m thankful for my family, my siblings, and my grandparents. I’m thankful for the babies and kiddos I get to take care of. They seriously are the best kids ever. I’m thankful for the growth I’ve seen in myself. There have been many hard times this year, both for me and for the people in my life. But there has been lots of joy as well, and I recognize we need both pain and joy to grow.

This year I stepped outside my comfort zone, taking leaps of faith that I had to trust God through. I finished my book and hired my publisher at age 16. I published my first book (launch date will be announced soon!). I discovered more about myself and what I want the focus of this blog to be, and for that I am thankful.

I’m thankful for everyone reading this post, and everyone that follows my blog and has encouraged me in my writing journey. It means so much to me that there are people who read my stories, as well as my thoughts in my blog posts. It’s my dream to write, and to bring life and joy from my writing, and I believe the best is yet to come.

Happy Thanksgiving! Take a minute during all the craziness of the day and think of the things – both small and big – that you’re thankful for that happened in the last year. Thank you for being here!

Love,

Gabriella
