I’ve Got a Dream

I am a dreamer. Ever since I was little, I’ve been excited to take on the world. I’ve been passionate about life and about relationships. I’ve always been optimistic and, as a friend called me recently, “a small gal with a big personality.”

I have big plans, and things I want to accomplish during my time on earth. I have hopes and expectations. I plan on getting out of my comfort zone; I even welcome it. I plan on being used by God to encourage others and change lives.

Being a dreamer is a blessing and a curse. I believe I was created like this by God, but I also feel like being a dreamer requires patience. I want to accomplish all those big things now, and I don’t want to see any sort of obstacles in my way. But as I have learned, achieving your dreams requires hard work and dedication. Somewhere along your journey to success, you will hit at least one bump in the road.

One of my favorite quotes says, “If your dreams don’t scare you, you’re not dreaming big enough.”

Isn’t that powerful?

One of the biggest things that has discouraged me when it comes to accomplishing my dreams, is resources. Most of the time, these dreams that we have require some sort of investment, whether it be financial or educational or emotional. One day I was stressing about the fact that I’m a teenage girl with a small bank account and whole lot of dreams that require financial investment. But then I came across this verse,

My God will meet all your needs, according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

-Philippians 4:19

When I read this verse, I felt an overwhelming peace. If it is God’s plan for me to accomplish these dreams, HE WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN! I believe that God gives us dreams on purpose, for a purpose. And He will provide everything you need to make accomplishing these dreams possible.

Now, I said possible – not easy. As I said before, there will be bumps in the road. We have to fight to accomplish these dreams. We can’t give up after the first mishap.

My hope is that you feel empowered after reading this post. I hope you feel inspired to chase after your dreams passionately. I hope you will realize how you can use your gifts and passions to serve God and others.

If your dreams don’t scare you, you aren’t dreaming big enough.

With love,

Gabriella
