Random Facts About Me

Alrighty, this is going to be interesting! I’ve decided to write a post today with some random facts about me. I’ve never done a post like this, and although my about page gives a bit of insight into my life, I think this post will give you a better understanding (and it’ll be fun, too).

Here we go! This is my list of facts about me and my life.

  • My parents didn’t give me a nickname because they only wanted people to call me Gabriella. But over the years, my friends and siblings have given me the nicknames Gab and Gabby (although I wish my nickname was Elle. Is it too late to make that a thing?). To this day, I have never heard either of my parents call me by anything but my full name.

  • My whole life, I’ve had strangers come up and tell me that I look like Lucy Pevencie from The Chronicles of Narnia. When I was younger I resembled her much more than I do now, but I still hear it every once in a while.
  • I love to read, but I love to write even more. Creating intriguing stories makes me happy.
  • I have a Charlie Puth eyebrow. A few years ago, my brother (accidently!) hit me with a hockey stick, resulting in six stitches in my right eyebrow. I cover the scar pretty well with make-up, but without it I’m convinced I look like Charlie Puth, haha. (You’ll notice that in most all of my photos my right eyebrow is partially covered by my hair. No, it’s not a coincidence.)

  • I began documenting my life (or, journaling) when I was ten years old. That was the beginning of my writing career.
  • At age eleven, I began reading Medieval romance novels. I loved them so much, that right after I turned twelve I began drafting my own. I didn’t tell anyone that I was writing a book until I had developed the plot.
  • Morning is my favorite part of the day. It’s the time when I feel most productive, and I love when the sun is out early in the morning.
  • I’m left handed. So is my brother, Jake. I’m still convinced we’re twins that were born two years apart.
  • As you can probably tell from my photos, I’m not very tall – 5’1, to be exact.
  • I play volleyball, and it’s the only sport I play. I mainly play backrow (makes sense, considering my height), and although that’s the position that intimidates me most, it’s the one I’m best at.

  • I’m English and Irish on my mom’s side, and Italian and Greek on my dad’s.
  • I’ve lived in New England my whole life.
  • I have a severe fear of whales . . . yep, whales.
  • My favorite book of the Bible is James.
  • I’m a big New England Patriots fan.
  • I have a slight obsession with Germany, and although I’ve never actually been, I’m determined to go before I die.
  • People always ask what color my eyes are. Honestly . . . I don’t really know. I usually say they’re a hazel-green. They were blue when I was born, but over the years they’ve changed to more of a green with golden brown around the pupils.

  • I prefer watching a movie from my couch at home than in a theater.
  • I drink a ton of water. I drink at least 100 ounces each day, and I’m always carrying my water bottle around with me.
  • I really really like red lipstick.

There you have it! I hope you enjoyed this post, and if you did, let me know if you’d like to see more posts like this, or just what other kinds of posts you’d like to see in general.

As always, thank you for stopping by! I hope to see you again soon!

Love,

Gabriella
